Internet Instructional: (m)Ad Ma(e)n

Step 1:

Use google to search for anything that comes to mind (ie. shoes, apples, facebook etc.)

Step 2:

Click on any website that may intrigue you  

Step 3:

Locate and click on an ad of your choice on the website ( if there are none return to your original search and find another website with a few ads to choose from)

Step: 4

Once you've clicked the ad, explore the pages and links associated with this webpage

Step 5:

Locate the "About Us" section (usually what the company is about). Click on this page and research/read up on the company

Step 6:

After approximately 5 minutes of research, turn to the person next to you and discuss your findings. Consider the usefulness of this ad, consider its presence and association with the first page you were on. Share your findings with your partner and discuss the companies you both researched,differences/similarities,ad-targets. Would you ever buy what they are selling (why?why not?)
